Bowel cancer was a huge part of the journey that led Paula + Ant to Muriwai and then on to create KULA.
Ant was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2017 and it kick started a massive journey of discovering and learning what true health + wellness is. Today Ant is doing amazing with his health and we owe a lot of this to the healing modalities + knowledge we gained during our journey, we’d go as far to say he’s healthier now than pre cancer.
There are so many out there going through their own journeys with bowel cancer and we want to do our part as a “community of the heart” to hold space for the healing modalities + education that we found so important during our journey to reclaim Ant’s health + wellbeing.
June is bowel cancer awareness month and with three of the hearts involved in KULA being directly affected by bowel cancer it’s time to give back and it couldn’t feel more right! The KULA team is so excited to present you with our first Bowel Cancer Fundraising Event.
This fundraiser will allow us to educate and nourish those attending as well as contribute a donation to the registered charity Bowel Cancer New Zealand.
Jason Shon Bennett
We are delighted to have Jason joining us as our guest speaker. Jason is a best-selling author, health researcher, inspirational speaker and health coach. Jason cured all of his ‘incurable’ diseases over 25 years ago by changing his diet, lifestyle and environment.
“I have been researching health since the 1980’s and I have not been sick since. I am qualified by experience. After years of requests, I started writing, sharing and speaking about my learnings and experience. This led to my books, seminars and online programs. My work seemed to completely transform people’s health, so I have now dedicated my life to teaching people how to live a long healthy life – free from drugs and disease”

The Wolf and The Cat
“The Wolf and The Cat is an immersive dining experience that encourages everyone to deepen their relationship with the food, their body and the people who share the table.
The experience begins with a guided breath work and grounding session, followed by an 3 course vegetarian menu curated with maximum nutritional benefits in mind.
Each guest is given a name card with a question prompt to integrate into conversation with the person/person sitting next to them. These questions are thought provoking and designed to help people connect on a deeper level and learn something they may have not uncovered without the prompt.”
